Estevan Fire and Rescue attended a few calls over the past week, after a relatively quiet end of January.  

Starting on January 30 EFR was dispatched at 11:05 am to a 2-vehicle collision on the Northeast side of Estevan. Once crews arrived on scene it was determined it was a minor incident and no injuries had occurred. EFR helped with a fluid spill cleanup and the call was concluded. 

On February 01 EFR attended a call on the Northeast side of the city. The call came in at 8:10 p.m. for a smoke investigation. Crews responded and investigated. The smoke was from a residential fireplace, and it was determined no emergency was occurring.  

The following day on February 02 at 5:40 p.m. EFR attended a commercial fire alarm on the Northwest side of the city. Upon investigation, it was determined there was no emergency. A pull station had been bumped setting off the alarm.  

On Sunday, February 04, EFR was dispatched at 2:20 am for a report of a vehicle fire in the central part of the city. Crews arrived on the scene and determined there was a small fire occurring on a piece of construction equipment that was parked in the area. The fire was contained by members of the Estevan Police Service with a fire extinguisher. EFR crews confirmed fire extinguishment once on the scene. No injuries were reported, and minor damage to the equipment. The fire is under investigation.
