The Estevan Bears saw a two-game win streak and four-game point streak end Tuesday night in Regina. 

The host Pat Canadians had 19 saves from Kelton Pyne as they remained undefeated in regulation with a 4-1 win.

Pyne's in his second season of 18U AAA. He spent the shortened 2020-21 campaign with Estevan before signing in the Queen City in the offseason.

Brayden Barnett and Koen Senft had first-period markers as Regina led 2-0 through 20 minutes.

Tucker Buhay scored Estevan's goal on the man advantage 13:02 into the second period (from Boston Harkness and Kole Keen), trimming Regina's lead to 2-1. Ben Riche scored an insurance marker - his league-leading 11th goal in 11 games - for Regina late in the second and Peyton Kostiuk made it 4-1 4:06 into the third.

Buhay is ninth in league goal scoring, after his marker put him at eight goals in 14 games.

Jackson Miller made 34 saves for Estevan, taking the loss.

The Bears were 1-for-4 on the power play. Regina was held scoreless on five power plays. 

Regina leads the SMAAAHL with a 10-0-1 record. Estevan has the ninth-best points percentage in the 12-team league with their 3-7-4 record.

The Bears play again Friday and Saturday nights when they host the 6-1-0 Saskatoon Blazers.
