If you're going to be spending any time near water this summer, Saskatchewan Environment is reminding you to avoid swimming in or drinking water where blue-green algae blooms are occuring.

According to Senior Water Policy Analyst Richard Zitta, contact with algae-contaminated water can result in a number of consequences including red skin, sore throat, and cramps.
