Bookings for COVID-19 vaccinations for kids aged five to 11 became available at 8 a.m. Tuesday, and the first clinic to offer the pediatric shots in Estevan will be November 29.

Health Canada approved a Pfizer vaccine for children on Friday, and the Saskatchewan government announced Monday that they're expecting the first shipments to reach the province Tuesday, with vaccinations beginning Wednesday..

The province is expecting to receive enough vaccines to fully vaccine the 115,000 children in the five-to-11-year-old group.

The initial shipment is expected to be around 112,000 doses.

As is the case for the adult version of the Pfizer vaccine, and Moderna, the pediatric version will require two doses for kids to be considered fully vaccinated.
