Estevan's city council is expected to consider applying for a grant from the Targeted Sector Support (TSS) Initiative during Monday night's meeting.

The report from City Manager Jeff Ward to council details a proposed program that would be delivered through Southeast College, which would focus on energy transition, carbon capture and storage, geothermal, and more.

A proposal for a sidewalk on Perkins Street is also on the agenda.

Haley Weber wrote to council regarding a possible walkway from where the residential area starts on Perkins around 2nd and 3rd Avenues to the corner of Perkins Street and McDonald Road.

Weber said there are many families on the street with children, and some walk on lawns while taking their kids to bus stops to avoid the busy road.

The full letter is available inside the agenda.
