The U13 Estevan Royals took home third place over the weekend at the Bismarck Capitals Cup Tournament.

The Royals beat the Williston Flyers Black 5-3 on Friday. The Royals' goals were scored by Andin Barlow, Quinton Stobbs, Nicholas Penney, Tristan Bieber, and Kolby Fichter.

Estevan beat Bismarck Grey 3-2 to start Saturday. Andin Barlow had two Royals' goals, with Kolby Fichter scoring the other.

The Royals blanked Grand Forks White on Saturday afternoon. Goals were scored by Quinton Stobbs, Tristan Bieber, and Kolby Fichter with goalie Taylor Lisafeld securing the shutout.

After going 3-0 in their round-robin, Sunday started bracket play with the Royals facing off against the Jamestown/Valley City Prowlers in the A-side semi-final game.

The game was tight, going scoreless until five minutes left in the third period when the Prowlers scored. While Kolby Fichter was able to tie it up 17 seconds later, the Prowlers then scored with 3 minutes left and scored an empty netter with 37 seconds left, handing the Royals a 3-1 loss.

The Prowlers went on to win the tournament.

The Royals again played the Bismarck Grey for the B-side final, getting another 3-2 victory. Max Froese and Andin Barlow had the first two goals and Tristan Bieber had the game-winner with 1:52 left in the third period.
