The U11 Estevan Kings were dominant in the southeast last weekend as they emerged triumphant from a tournament in Carlyle.

That featured teams from across the area, including Carlyle, Midale, Radville, and Lampman.

The team played three games, winning all of them, before facing off against the host Carlyle team in the finals.

The final game was an 8-7 win. The Kings were down by two goals at one point and fought hard to come back for the win for the tournament championship.

Head coach Tricia Debruyne says the team was thrilled with the win.

"They're really excited. It was really good to see them so excited and early in the season for them, so it was a success. I'm happy about that.

"Super proud of how hard the boys worked and pulled together as a team and it was a great weekend."

The team has two league games this weekend, heading back to Carlyle and going to Kipling.
