Five people have died after a house fire in Davidson over the weekend.

Craik RCMP and the Davidson Fire Department were called to a house fire at about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday on Ottawa Street in Davidson.

An 80-year-old man and 81-year-old woman were removed from the building and sent to the Davidson Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Emergency crews found the remains of three children after the fire was put out.

Autopsies for all five victims are expected to take place in Saskatoon this week.

RCMP are continuing to investigate including determining the cause of the fire.

Assisting in the investigation is the Davidson Fire Department, the Saskatoon Coroner’s Service, and Saskatchewan Public Safety. Updates will be provided by the RCMP as they become available.
