Lampman Minor Sports have joined forces with Midale to bring the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation to the area for their third and final training session this Saturday.

Around 50 local hockey players in the U7-U18 divisions have been taking part in the training sessions, which teach a variety of skills on the ice and off.

Focusing on training, conditioning, and drill patterns is what makes this program so unique, said Brandon Wulchuck, president of Lampman Minor Sports.

“Midale has been trying to get them for a few years, but they didn’t have the numbers,” said Walchuck “So we joined them and were fortunate enough to get them.”

The Adam Herold Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers training programs to smaller communities across the province.  The foundation was started to honour Adam Herold, a Humboldt Bronco who tragically lost his life in the bus accident that claimed the lives of 16 people in 2018.

“Everyone has been happy with the results and it's something different you don’t see all the time,” said Walchuck.
