The Estevan Bruins dominated from the get go Saturday night, scoring a pair of shorthanded goals in the first period on their way to a 9-0 beat down of the struggling Melville Millionaires in a game that was never close.

The Bruins led 3-0 after the first period and 7-0 after 40 minutes.

Griffin Asham-Moroz led the way offensively with two goals and an assist and very nearly found the net a third time early in the third period.

Antoine St. Onge and Cody Davis also had three points each, while Zach Burfoot scored his first SJHL goal late in the game and kept the puck. Burfoot also added an assist on the night.

This was the first of 10 meetings between the two teams this season.

The Bruins improved to 7-3-0-1, while the Millionaires dropped to 1-6-4.
