The leader of the provincial opposition is speaking out for tougher laws for dangerous offenders.

Saskatchewan party leader Brad Wall would like to see Bill S-27 passed by the federal government which would mean after three convictions of dangerous offences, the criminal would have to prove that he is not a dangerous offender.

The Bill is being tied up at the Federal Level and Wall is not sure as to why this is the case.

The reaction is coming after Peter Whitmore pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and kidnapping from an incident last July and the status of dangerous offender was not applied to him.
