A southeast curling team has been making numerous stops across the prairies over the past few months.

The U18 women's rink, Team Fradette, has been participating in a Curl Sask tour over fall and winter.

The team is made up of skip Heidi Fradette, third Kali Johnson, second Amy Fradette, lead April McMillen, and alternate Olivia Fonstad.

Curling Club Manager, and Team Fradette coach, Pauline Ziehl Grimsrud says the team has seen success and is now taking a break before they go onto provincials running December 27-30.

She says that the team has had a busy season so far.

"We've been around the province and out of the province, we've been to Regina, Moose Jaw, Humboldt, and Prince Albert. Here in Estevan last weekend we had a tour event. We've been out to Brandon. We've been to various places around and it's been it's been a very busy fall but it's been very, very good with good curling."

Grimsrud says they've seen a lot of cohesion from the group even as it's their first year together.

"We didn't start throwing rocks till mid-October together, so we're really pleased that the girls have either been in the semifinals or the quarterfinals in every field they've been at and so we're very happy with that."

"They have done very well with their last stone draws, which is a placement that is sometimes used to break ties and we're very, very strong in that and we're very happy with how well they did so far this season and hopefully we're ready to take that next step and be the provincial champions come December 30th."
