Light snow that fell overnight and some freezing rain coming down around 5 a.m. Wednesday is causing streets in Estevan to be snow covered, and creating winter driving conditions on highways in the southeast.

The province's Highway Hotline is reporting winter conditions for the southern part of the province. Highways in the Estevan area are cited as having icy, slippery sections, with loose snow, and blowing snow.

Wind gusting from the north-north west at 45 kph to 59 kph around 5:30 a.m. can cause for some visibility issues as well.
