Committee Member Troy LaForge says they had another good year on the Lone Tree Project noting just off that site alone they should be able to donate over $30,000 dollars to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

"We have the Lone Tree Project north of Swift Current. We grew hay on it again this year and we harvested 616 bales with the first cut - that was put up by Co-operators.

We also got a second cut of hay and due to the busy harvest this year, that was sold standing. We got two quality cuts of hay off this year.

The Stewart Valley project this year was seeded to Lentils which ran around the mid 20’s for yield.

He notes they are still marketing that crop but thinks they should be able to make over $400 an acre.
