The Estevan Police Service announced charges against a 25-year-old man after a search warrant yielded $35,000 worth of cocaine and $13,500 in cash.

Police did not name the man. He was kept in custody and will make his first court appearance on Tuesday.

A traffic stop led to the search warrant being exercised under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The traffic stop involved the EPS K-9 Unit, and resulted in the man’s arrest.

He has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, resisting arrest, and possession of proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000.
