The Estevan Police Service reported laying criminal charges on three people over a weekend that saw them receive 33 calls for service.
A report of assault and mischief at a residence in central Estevan led to a female being charged with mischief. She was lodged in cells before being released for an October court date.
A 47-year-old Bienfait woman was charged with impaired driving. Her vehicle was seized and she is also scheduled for court in October.
And police received a report of theft from a local hotel room. The subject was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. He's due in court later this year.
Other calls
A 24-year-old woman also had her vehicle seized following a three-day license suspension and recent marijuana consumption.
Several other matters from the weekend are under investigation:
- A person was reportedly uttering threats to a group of employees on a job site.
- Police received a report of an assault at a local hotel.
- There was a report of theft of property, though the property was located.
- And police received a report of an individual uttering threats to another person, and attempting to damage their vehicle.
Police were also alerted to a power pole on fire and sparking. Estevan Fire Rescue and SaskPower were contacted. There was no active fire when police arrived on the scene.
