4th Street road work continues Tuesday, second sewer upgrade on 3rd Street also underway

The 15th block of 4th Street will remain closed Tuesday as city crews continue to work on a sewer upgrade.

Traffic is still being rerouted to 3rd Street.

"We're progressing and then the next phase of it will be putting asphalt on it," said City Safety Coordinator Helen Fornwald. "So that's the next step for there and so today it'll continue to be closed."

The north sidewalk also remains closed.

Fornwald added that the timeframe for when the work is completed depends on the weather.

The city also said a second sewer upgrade is also underway on the 300 block of 3rd Street. Traffic both ways will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The north sidewalk is also closed.

Fornwald added there are more planned sewer upgrades still to come this year.
