It was a fairly busy weekend for the Estevan Police Service, who fielded 56 calls.

Sgt. Braden Lonsberry said an intoxicated man was arrested Friday night for causing a disturbance outside a local establishment.

He said a woman was also arrested on an impaired driving charge Friday. She was released and will appear in court in April.

On Saturday, a man was charged with failing to comply with release conditions. He was arrested and released. A second woman was also arrested on an impaired driving charge on Saturday and released with an April court date, Lonsberry said.

There was also a report of a group of people shining a laser pointer into an apartment building.

"They were warned of their actions," Lonsberry said.

He added there were numerous traffic tickets issued through out the weekend.
