A new-look Big 6 Hockey League had six games during its opening weekend of the 2021-22 regular season, and both new teams are in the win column.

The Moosomin Rangers debuted with an 11-2 home win over the Midale Mustangs Friday night. The Oxbow Chiefs returned to the league with a 3-2 victory over the Carlyle Cougars at home Friday. Also on Friday, the Redvers Rockets downed the Bienfait Coalers 5-4.

Home teams continued their dominance Saturday night, with a pair of lopsided games. The Yellow Grass Wheat Kings downed the Mustangs 11-2. And the Carnduff Red Devils beat Oxbow 8-1.

And Sunday's lone game was a 4-3 Bienfait win over Carnduff.
