Crowds flooded 4th Street this past weekend for the Estevan Downtown Business Association's Street Fair.

Not only were there plenty of activities such as bouncy castles, a rock climbing wall, and face painting, but it was the perfect opportunity for people to save at their favourite local businesses.

Jennifer Pettitt, owner of Jenny Joans, said she hardly even made it on the street because she was busy ringing customers through the register.

"It was quite a day. There were a lot of people downtown having a good time and shopping. It was kind of a zoo."

She added that it was a perfect way for customers to take advantage of all the great deals in Jenny Joans and the other local businesses taking part.

"It was fun. Everyone was enjoying the sales. We had lots of really great deals that people were taking advantage of."

Pettitt said that she hopes to see the DBA continue with the street fair.

"It was very well attended and people seemed to be happy about shopping on the street and sidewalk sales."
