Consecutive losses at the SJHL showcase in Warman have brought the Estevan Bruins back down to earth after the Bruins won their first three games of the regular season.

The Bruins returned to Estevan Wednesday night after dropping a 3-2 decision to the Humboldt Broncos earlier in the day.

Goaltender Cam Hrdlicka was steller in his regular season debut, stopping 31 shots in the loss.

Broncos star Connor McGrath scored all three goals for Humboldt.

Emerging Bruins star Caelan Fitzpatrick continues to impress, scoring yet again, this time batting a puck out of mid air on a 5-on-3 powerplay late in the first period.

Griffin Asham-Moroz also scored for Estevan, his second of the year.

The Bruins will now settle back into Affinity Place for a 5-game home stand over the next couple weeks.

It starts with a clash against the Weyburn Red Wings Friday night. Puck drop at 7:30.
