The accolades keep coming for a standout athlete out of Carnduff. Carter Beck has been named Baseball Sask's 2022 Male Athlete of the Year.

The 18U AAA Southeast Twins catcher, infielder, and pitcher was named the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League's most-valuable player and top hitter. He hit .470 during 24 regular-season games, with four doubles, nine triples, and a home run. He had an on-base percentage of .585 and a slugging percentage of .848.

Beck also had a 2-0 record through 13 innings of relief, giving up zero earned runs and striking out 26. He walked nine batters and hit four. He surrendered four unearned runs.

He was also a key part of Team Saskatchewan's lineup at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in the Niagara region of Ontario.
