The Dauphin Kings find themselves in this year's national championship after stunning the Steinbach Pistons in game 7 of the MJHL finals.

The Kings were led by forward Kaden Bryant, who had 17 points in 18 playoff games. Defencemen Colby Jaquet and Parker Malchuk also pitched in with 16 points each.

Winnipeg-born goaltender Carson Cherepak also had a strong post-season, finishing with a 2.32 goals against average.

Head coach Doug Hedley has ties to Estevan having coached the Bruins in the 1990's.

Dauphin will take on the Flin Flon Bombers, the Soo Thunderbirds, the Ottawa Jr. Senators, and the Summerside Western Capitals in round robin play.

The Kings will open against the Senators on Friday.
