Max Ball, the Manager of the SaskPower Clean Coal Project, was the guest speaker at Wednesday's meeting of the Estevan Chamber of Commerce.

Ball provided an update on the status of the major project since it was announced last month that it will not be pursued at this time, and fielded questions from those in attendance.

Ball stressed that the initiative will be revisited in the future with team members currently working on improving the cost and revenue of the project in order to move forward, adding that he's especially grateful for the continued interest and support of the residents of Estevan and the southeast.

The next meeting of the Chamber of Commerce is November 14th.
