Charges are pending against a boy following what police believe was a handful of thefts at a recreational facility in Estevan Thursday.

Estevan Police Service Sgt. Tyler McMillen said they were called to a theft Thursday night. Police reviewed video surveillance from the area and canvassed people in the community, which led them to identify a 14-year-old as the person responsible.

McMillen said they believe there were four or five victims, though they haven't spoken to everybody that was at the facility.

"We're still trying to recover everything that was stolen and working with his parents at the same time," said McMillen.

He said police are still investigating, and charges are pending against the boy.

"We're hoping for cooperation. I know that the victims of this crime just want to get their property back."

The alleged offender will not be identified, as he is under 18.
