The City of Estevan announced this week that it has chosen George Harris Collaborative Inc. to conduct its Downtown Revitalization Project.

The city had received submissions from 11 different businesses, including George Harris, Stantec, Design Nodal, and 818 Studios, among others.

The city said the proposal from George Harris was very thorough, complete with 3D drawings and background research on opportunities and issues that already exist downtown.

The submission was also within the city's budget at $140,400 plus tax.

The city has received $150,000 in funds from Western Diversification to be put toward the project.

The consultation and design portion of the project, which includes feedback from the public, is set to begin immediately and should be completed by February of 2022. From there, the city would then have a final design and request additional funding for infrastructure.
