Members of Estevan City Council approved two resolutions this week that will now be forwarded to the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association.

Mayor Gary St. Onge says the first is that SUMA lobby the Provincial Government for the development of a multi-material recycling program.

The second is that SUMA partners with SaskPower and the Federal Government, to lobby the Provincial Government to enable the construction of a Clean Coal power generating station.

According to Mayor St. Onge, the resolutions will be dealt with at the SUMA Annual Convention, the first week of February.

City Councillors also approved a motion this week from the CPR Community Advisory Panel that a letter be sent to Souris Moose Mountain MP Ed Komarnicki on the need for grade level separation, in the form of an underpass or overpass.
