Derrell's family sadly announces his passing in Estevan, Sask. on August 19, 2023, just days shy of his 75th birthday.

A Memorial Service for Derrell will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Shirley Petterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Estevan City Cemetery, after which a luncheon will be held in the Club Room at the Royal Canadian Legion, Estevan.
