Estevan Tim Hortons restaurant owners Ryan and Mandy Irwin were all smiles as they presented the cheque for this year's Smile Cookie Campaign to the Estevan Early Years Family Resource Centre.

The total amount raised was $46,832.50, thanks to both cookie sales and generous donations from businesses and individuals in the community. In addition to the monetary donations, volunteers from around the community stepped up to help keep production going for the impressive 25,000 cookies, including baking, packing, and decorating.

“As usual, our staff smashed it out this year. They do a great job and hit our marks every year, so just thanks to them and the community,” said Ryan Irwin.

Mandy Irwin said the success of the campaign this year was largely due to the family center staff, who put in all the legwork to secure additional sponsors and get the cookies delivered to the schools.

“This is by far the biggest donation that we have made, and it’s so exciting,” said Mandy Irwin.

They also noted the amazing experience of landing in the seventh-place spot in Canada and the second-place spot in Saskatchewan.
