The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan has updated the situation for Dr. Mehdi Horri, an Estevan physician who had 14 charges related to his conduct placed earlier this year.

This agreement took effect on March 27 and takes a couple of points from his previous restrictions which were placed on him in 2023.

In an updated statement on the CPSS's website, they laid out the following restrictions for Dr. Horri:

   1) He will not have any professional encounter, or portion thereof, with female patients.

   2) He may only practise in a clinic seeing patients by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

   3) He has agreed not to perform any invasive procedures (anything requiring a scalpel or stitches.)

It's currently unknown what the status of his charges is and if any further action will be taken by CPSS.

Discover Estevan will update this story with any further information.
