The Estevan Police Service reported several calls of service Friday and Saturday, with several involving vehicles.

On Saturday, police were alerted to a person slumped over their steering wheel on a northeast city street. Police responded, but the vehicle was not there.

Other Saturday calls reported by police were:

  • a report of criminal harassment by telephone, which is still under investigation.
  • a report of a local business taking photos of customers for social media without asking their permission. Police gave the complainant advice on how to deal with the situation.
  • a complaint of a driver not stopping at a stop sign. The license plate was given to police, who are looking into the matter.

Friday's reported calls were:

  • a report of a hit and run on a vehicle, that police reviewed and determined it was mischief to property. The matter remains under investigation.
  • a disturbance at a residence in the south end of the city. One of the people were moving out. Police remained on the scene until the person left.
  • a report of a possible impaired driver getting into their vehicle at a local restaurant. Police found the vehicle still parked at the restaurant shortly after.
