The Estevan Comprehensive School Debate Society is hosting a tournament Friday featuring over forty two-member teams.

According to Society Advisor Margaret Duncan, debates begin at 3:30 and will continue until 9, when a winning team will be declared during the awards ceremony.

A variety of topics will be up for debate including whether or not electronic devices should be banned from schools.

In preparation for the event and their role as host, the ECS Debate Society has been meeting daily for the past two weeks.

Duncan adds that judges are still needed for the event, with no special skills or experience required, just an attentive ear and community spirit.
