Envision Counselling celebrated its 30th anniversary with an open house in Estevan today, offering the public an opportunity to explore available programs and speak with staff about Envision's services.

“It’s an honour for us to be supported in the Estevan community for so long. We thought it’s been a while since we’ve opened our doors and just let people come in, explore, and get to know our space and our staff,” said Envision Counselling's executive director Lynda Rideout.

Members of the police department, city council, and the mayor attended the event to show their support for Envision.

“Having a resource like Envision is absolutely critical for not only Estevan but the surrounding communities. With their outreach, they’re able to help so many people in need,” said Mayor Ludwig. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for this very, very important job that they do in our community.”

During the event, staff sported shirts emblazoned with the phrase “Remember Your Why" which has become an unofficial slogan for Envision.

“So essentially as service providers, we typically get caught up in the stressors and the difficulties in the day-to-day work that we do,” explained communication specialist Raven Daer. “So, we just wanted to use this as a token or a reminder to remember your why—not focusing on the how or the what but focusing on why we do what we do and why it is so important.”

Envision will wrap up its 30th-anniversary celebrations with a final open house in Weyburn next week.
