EPS: 49-year-old man arrested; people rummaging through cars

The Estevan Police Service reported arresting a 49-year-old Estevan man for driving while prohibited on Monday.

Police say he was already wanted on outstanding warrants. He was released with a November court date.

The EPS were also called about people going through unlocked vehicles at night, but were unable to find anyone in the area.

"Police remind the public that crimes of opportunity can be prevented by not leaving valuables in your vehicles and by locking your vehicles," said the EPS release. "Police ask for the public’s assistance in reporting suspicious persons/activity as it it is preventative to have the police attend the area and identify the individuals."
