The Estevan Police Service are investigating a theft from a business in town after the matter was reported to them on Friday. There was surveillance video, and the suspect was identified.

The other Friday calls the EPS reported were:

Two people yelling at each other in the Pleasantdale area. Police attended and spoke with the complainant. The parties had dispersed, and there were no further issues.

A possible impaired driver was reported, as the person was driving erratically on 4th Street. The caller had lost track of the vehicle, and members couldn’t find it.

Police are investigating an incident where a vehicle almost hit a person crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing.

Police were called about broken tree branches and flooded storm drains. They contacted City of Estevan Public Works, which was out trying to clean up after the storm.

A male was arrested for public intoxication, theft under $5,000, and resisting arrest. Police planned to release him for a future court date.

Another male was arrested for breaching his release conditions. He was also expected to be released for another court date.

And a roadside screening device test for drugs led to a 72-hour driver’s license suspension and a vehicle impoundment.
