Over 450 vehicles were checked at SGI high-visibility check stops Friday night in Estevan, and police located zero impaired drivers.

The Estevan Police Service reported that 20 roadside screening tests were performed. Three tickets were issued for other offences.

Police also reported the following calls from April 1:

- Police received a report of theft of recyclables from a residence.  The matter is still under investigation.

- Police received a report of theft of a motor vehicle.  The vehicle was just noticed missing and reported to police.  The vehicle was later located in a rural area and arrangements were being made to have it returned to Estevan.  The matter is still under investigation.

- Police received a report of criminal harassment.  The complainant believes the individual contacted his workplace along with continuously harassing him personally.  The matter is still under investigation.

- Police were contacted by CBSA as they had a suspicious vehicle approach the Port of Entry of Estevan Highway from the north.  The vehicle turned around and returned north towards Estevan.  Police attempted to locate the vehicle and didn’t have any success so far.

- Police received a RID (Report an Impaired Driver) complaint in relation to a vehicle that was driving erratically.  The complainant advised the vehicle was parked at a local east-end business.  The complainant wasn’t able to give a license plate but did describe it as a silver SUV.  Police attended to the area and were not able to locate the vehicle.

- A local restaurant called asking for assistance with a patron. Members attended and the individual was arrested for public intoxication, and was lodged in cells until sober.

- Report of fireworks being set off in front of a residence in the Pleasantdale area. A description of the individuals who set off the fireworks was obtained. Members patrolled the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The matter is still under investigation.
