The Estevan Police Service continue to investigate several calls from the weekend, including an assault and a theft from a tip jar.

Cst. Danielle Stephany said they were dispatched to a restaurant in Estevan after money was allegedly taken from a tip jar.

"Members are still investigating and are hoping that the video surveillance from the restaurant will be able to assist in identifying the suspect."

Police are continuing to investigate a report of an assault in central Estevan. It allegedly occurred at a residence on Saturday, though police were called about it on Sunday.

Members were called to a disturbance at a residence in the Trojan subdivision on Sunday. They spoke with both parties and were able to help them reach a temporary resolution.

Stephany said they also had a call of youths causing damage to a school playground in central Estevan.

"Members attended and no damage was noted, however there were several youths consuming alcohol on the grounds. So a ticket was issued and alcohol was destroyed on-site and they were sent home for the evening."

Other calls included a male refusing to leave a bar on Saturday night, a Sunday-night disturbance at an establishment, and a call of a suspicious male in the downtown core that turned out to be just a man pulled over to make a phone call.

Stephany said that overall, the situations they were called to were "easily remedied."
