Estevan Fire Rescue was out in the community over the week responding to a number calls which came in from residents.

On May 09 at around 5:00 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a possible carbon monoxide investigation at a property in the central part of the city. Incident command responded with gas detection equipment and investigated with zero readings of CO detected.

The next day on May 10, EFR was dispatched around 6:25 a.m. to a commercial fire alarm in the Northeast area of the city. Crews responded and determined the alarm was due to cooking. After they confirmed EFR assistance was not required the crew returned to the station.

Later that day around 10:50 a.m., EFR was dispatched to another commercial alarm in the central part of the city. The incident command was quickly updated that the alarm was due to work being done at the property. No emergency and EFR assistance was required with crews being stood down shortly after.

On May 11,  at around 12:10 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle North of the city. Crews responded and assisted with EMS and RCMP with one injury reported. The incident is under investigation by the RCMP.

Later that day at around 6:30 p.m., a crew was dispatched to a vehicle fire near Rafferty Dam. Crews responded, located, and extinguished the fire with no injuries reported. That incident is also under investigation by the RCMP.
