Estevan Fire Rescue has been working around Estevan over the past week, responding to a number of calls.

On June 12, just after 8:30 a.m., a crew was dispatched for a commercial fire alarm in the Southeast area of the city. They determined that an issue with the sprinkler system caused the alarm and confirmed no emergency was occurring.

Later that day around 4:15 p.m., another crew was dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in the Northeast area of the city. Crews responded and investigated, determining that the alarm was caused by maintenance work being done at the location. They confirmed no emergency was occurring and assisted with resetting the fir alarm system before returning to the station.

The next day on June 13, around 10:20 a.m., a residential fire alarm saw a crew dispatched to the Northwest area of the city. Crews found that the alarm was due to a cooking issue and confirmed there was no emergency occurring.

On June 14 just after 3:00 p.m., a crew was dispatched to a 2-vehicle collision on the West side of the city. Crews responded and assisted. It's Unknown at this time if there were any injuries.

Shortly afterward, just after 4:00 p.m., a crew was dispatched for a downed powerline in the North Central area of the city. Crews responded and investigated before confirming no fire occurred. The crew remained on the scene to secure the area until SaskPower arrived to perform repairs.

On June 15, just after 3:30 p.m., a single-vehicle incident saw a crew dispatched just west of the city. Crews responded and determined a vehicle had lost a piece of equipment off a trailer. Crews assisted with traffic control until the equipment was removed from the roadway.

Estevan Fire Rescue was also out and about in the community for a bit of fun, making appearances at the Estevan EX and graduation parade on Friday afternoon.
