The Estevan Police Service along with their K-9 unit performed a conditions check in the Pleasantdale area that led to methamphetamine and cocaine-trafficking charges Tuesday night.

A pair of Estevan men, aged 25 and 33, were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

The 33-year-old was also charged with breaching the conditions of a release order.

"Everything was in line there where there's lots of evidence for trafficking," said Sgt. Tyler McMillen. "Not a large amount that was left. But still very good evidence for trafficking for sure."

Both men were at the residence at the time of the check.

Police seized some Canadian currency and other evidence they said supports the charges.

The men were held in custody overnight for a Wednesday court appearance. They have not been identified.

Another matter police dealt with overnight was a conditions check on a 34-year-old Estevan man. Police said he was found to be breaching a probation order. He was held in cells overnight and will be released in the morning with a new charge.
