Racers are gearing up for another weekend at the Estevan Motor Speedway for another points race.

That's the second last of the season, with the championship night sent near the end of August.

They're also hosting an event that's brand new, in coordination with another Estevan group.

President Brad Pierson explains the Estevan Motor Speedway's new high-tech show.

"We partnered with the drone club, and they're going to be out there showcasing their skills and doing a bit of an intermission show. There's going to be a great day of racing and you're going to see something really different in Estevan that's a huge growing sport. I think it's going to draw some different faces out to our speedway."

The main gates open this weekend at 5 PM on Saturday, with the first green flag at 7.
