The Estevan Police Service had a busy weekend, working in the community.

They started that off with work from the Queen's Bench Provincial Court in Regina on Friday, enforcing orders that were presented during the day.

One 45-year-old man Estevan man was arrested for obstruction after he failed to comply with the orders and was released with a court date later that evening.

The next night, police responded to an unwanted guest at a residence. Police spoke to the parties and remained on the scene until the guest left, with nothing criminal happening.

A call was received about a possible impaired driver off Highway 18. After locating the vehicle, a 73-year-old woman was issued a 3-day driver's license suspension for alcohol consumption.

To cap off the weekend, police responded early on Sunday to two men who had been seen getting into a motor vehicle that was believed to be stolen.

While they initially drove away, the vehicle was located and stopped, with the driver being arrested. The 20-year-old man from Carnduff was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and impaired driving.

The passenger of the vehicle bailed and ran on foot - police were unable to capture him that evening, but had a good image of him and the man turned himself in the next day.

He's also a 20-year-old man from Carnduff, and will be facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle and obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duty.

Both men have no previous criminal history, and the matter is still under investigation.
