The Estevan Public Library is running the annual TD Summer Reading Club, a free program aimed at keeping children aged 5 to 12 engaged in reading throughout the summer break. The program runs from July 2 to August 16.

The TD Summer Reading Club offers flexible schedules for participants. Children aged 5 to 8 can attend sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings from 10 to 12 pm. For older children, aged 9 to 12, sessions are available on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00pm. Wednesday sessions are combined groups for ages 5 to 12 from 10am to 12 pm.

Participants are encouraged to bring a book from home or choose from the library’s collection, which includes easy readers, picture books, graphic novels, and a special display of space-themed books to align with this year’s theme, “To The Stars”.

The program kicks off with a party on June 28 from 2:00 to 4:00pm, where children can enjoy games, snacks, and drinks, and also pick up their booklets. Registration is open until the start date, but late enrolments are also welcome. Attendance at every weekly session is not mandatory.

The program concludes with a wind-up party on August 16 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, featuring pizza and prizes for the participants.
