Estevan Minor Baseball is getting ready for quite the event over the weekend, hosting three simultaneous provincial tournaments.

Those will be the 15U tier 4, the 11U tier 1, and the 11U tier 4 tournaments, all of them AA, with 23 teams in attendance.

The organization previously separated those tournaments into two different weekends, but will now be holding all three at the same time.

Estevan Minor Baseball President Joe Williamson says that they'll start off with a fan-favorite event.

"We have opening ceremonies on Friday night at 5:30, followed by a skills competition that all of the teams will participate in," said Williamson, "The skills competition last year was probably everyone's favorite event. We had lots of people down there watching and supporting the kids. Had a couple of good home run derbies going back and forth, hopefully, this year's the same."

Some teams will begin playing before the opening ceremonies, with teams set to begin playing at 11 AM on Friday.

After that, games will be at a variety of diamonds from 9-6 on Saturday, and 9-3 on Sunday with the gold medal games that day.

Williamson thanked the sponsors who helped to put on the tournament.

"Big shout out to all the sponsors, you definitely can't put on an event without the sponsors so definitely thanks to them."

The full schedule for the three-day event can be found on Estevan Minor Baseball's Facebook page or website.
