Estevan Police mainly were dealing with the blizzard at the end of last week, but one incident was promptly responded to and has resulted in an investigation.
Constable Lana Gropp relays exactly what happened near the start of the weekend.
"In the early morning hours of April 17th, Estevan Police were alerted to an assault that happened at a local hotel. The complainant stated that she was with 2 males and one of them had assaulted her and then threatened to kill her and her family."
"The males then fled in a red minivan before police arrived, but they were later identified and information has been given to other police agencies. The matter is still under investigation."
The Estevan police say that due to that ongoing investigation, they're currently keeping some details of that case under wraps.
