The 2023 Viterra Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the SaskTel Tankard Provincial Championships are just over one month away.

The women's provincial Scotties will be held January 25-29, 2023 at Affinity Place, with the men to follow from February 1-5.

“We are very excited to bring this major event to our community in 2023. We have an incredibly dedicated committee that has been working over the past year to ensure a great experience for those that attend, coming from all over Saskatchewan,” said Devon Fornwald, Chair of the Estevan Curling Club Committee.

The Estevan Curling Club also recently announced some major sponsorships, including with the Southern Plains Co-op, Municipal Hail, and Turnbull Excavating.

The club said they already have over 165 volunteers who are signed up for the two week event.

“Our community is full of curling fans and others that are just dedicated to supporting and promoting exciting events coming to the city. We are very grateful for all of the response that we have received as we prepare for this great event to come to Estevan,” said Fornwald.

The curling provincials will bring over 100 athletes to the city as they compete for the right to wear Saskatchewan's colours at the national championships. Some of the teams who have already qualified for the event will be announced on Tuesday.

You can now purchase event passes at the Estevan Curling Club office, or at the Visitor Information Centre at the Estevan Leisure Centre.
