Fall into fun with the Estevan Public Library's October programs

As the leaves begin to change and the temperatures drop, the Estevan Public Library (EPL) is gearing up for a spooktacular October. In a recent interview on Rock 106 Out To Lunch, EPL Branch Manager, Jason Redshaw, shared some exciting events lined up for the month.

October 3rd - TikTok 101 for Adults

Kicking off the month on October 3rd, EPL invites adults to unravel the mysteries of TikTok. Jason Redshaw explains, "If you're wondering what TikTok is, how to get started and how to use it, this is a really good program. Anna will take you through the steps; how to get started and what it can be used for. Whether you're a company or someone that was just interested in getting more out there on social media, it will be well worth the time."

October 7th - Family Book Club Featuring A Bear Called Paddington

On the 7th, EPL celebrates the beloved character Paddington Bear with a Family Book Club. Families can pick up the book at the library and read it together. Redshaw adds, "We're going to have a number of activities set up around the book, so it's just going to be a fun time for the whole family to come out."

October 21st - Family Matinee: Hotel Transylvania

For a weekend treat on the 21st, EPL screens "Hotel Transylvania" for families. Redshaw says, "Considering it's Halloween, it's a fun, great movie, and we'll have popcorn here ready for everybody when we roll the movie at 2:00."

October 31st - Teen Fear Factor and Halloween at the Library

As Halloween approaches, EPL has something for everyone. On October 31st, teens can join the "Teen Fear Factor" event, featuring creepy foods and eerie challenges. Redshaw shares, "If you're willing to try it out, I think it is going to be a lot of fun for teens."

For the little trick-or-treaters, the library will host "Halloween at the Library" from 4:00 to 8:00, offering candy, crafts, and Halloween activities. It's a perfect stop for families in between their trick-or-treating adventures.
