UPDATE:

The Estevan RCMP sent an update late Friday afternoon stating that one person was taken to hospital following a single-vehicle rollover with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 11:25 a.m.

A truck that was travelling west left the road and rolled into the north ditch.

The highway was reduce to single-lane traffic for two hours. Police continue to investigate the incident.


Emergency crews responded to a call of what appeared to be a single-vehicle collision near Torquay shortly before noon on Friday.

The Estevan Fire Department was on the scene along with police and EMS.

An ambulance left the scene, which was several kilometres east of Torquay on Highway 18, with its lights on.

Crews looked to be assisting a person at a truck in a field that had heavy damage to its roof and hood.

Sirens were heard leaving Estevan around 11:30. Traffic was reduced to a single lane near the scene.
