A fire in Forget has reportedly resulted in the loss of a popular restaurant, Happy Nun Cafe.

The Happy Nun Cafe was well-known throughout the province and not only for its food. The Cafe was popular for its music scene and has hosted a number of Saskatchewan talent, including Dan Cugnet, Jeffery Straker, Chris Henderson and Belle Plaine.

This is not the first time the restaurant has faced tragedy. In 2018, current owner and chef Gayla Gilbertson took over after previous owner and chef Katie Vinge passed away in an accident.

At this time, no further or official details are available.
