The province's Highway Hotline is citing icy and slippery sections on highways around the southeast on Tuesdsay morning, along with loose and swirling snow.

Nearly all of the province's highways from the Trans-Canada south are listed as being in winter driving condition Tuesday morning.

Snow is expected to fizzle out midway through the morning. Though the weather is going to get nasty. The temperature is forecast to fall below -20 C Tuesday afternoon, bottoming out around -33 C early Wednesday morning. The windchill is expected to feel as cold as -46 C.
